About the Role

The Peace Committee of the Republic of Somaliland is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage our HR functions. The HR Manager will play a key role in fostering a professional, inclusive, and well-supported working environment that aligns with our mission of peacebuilding and national unity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures in line with organizational goals.

  • Manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.

  • Support and guide managers on employee relations, performance, and disciplinary matters.

  • Oversee employee training, development, and capacity-building initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and conflict-sensitive approaches.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with non-governmental organizations or government institutions is an asset.

  • Proficiency in Somali and English is required.
